Bf3 which scopes
Rancoeur3 posted There is glare on 6x scope? It was a niche scope but if there's glare there's no reason to use it. And yes I forgot the 7x scopes. Yeah, 6x definitely glares, because the amount of engineers with shiny guns I see is staggering. User Info: azulmono To sum this topic up: ALL the 6x, 7x, 8x and 12x scopes produce glare, something which none of the other optics do. All guns that aren't sniper rifles and that are capable of using rifle scopes use the 6x Rifle Scope and the 7x PKS, and some B2K non-sniper rifle guns have the 12x scope unlocked by default.
All weapons that are classified as sniper rifles as in, they give you the sniper rifle ribbon use the 8x Rifle Scope and the 7x PKS, and all are capable of unlocking the 12x scope.
So in short, whilst the US scope has better magnification for snipers, it lacks magnification for regular rifles, whereas the Russian PKS is consistent no matter the weapon. It's a little slower to aim down the ACOG sight than a holographic or reflex one, but on the other hand, it has decent zoom which makes it great for most engagements within the m range. I've seen people take a high zoom scope and mount a suppressor on an assault rifle and use it quite effectively for silent kills at about m or so where bullet drop isn't a major factor. You can't really go wrong with the 3 common scopes: holo, reflex and acog.
